Roofing

Purpose: To protect the house from any roof leaks and severe weather. It’s critical we

Asphalt Shingles

• Clean the surface of the sheathing. Training Video

• Install Ice & Water Shield. Training Video

• Install the drip edge. Training Video

• If necessary, install roof jacks. Training Video

• Flash the valleys. Training Video

• Install tar paper. Training Video

• Install the starter strip. Training Video

• Install the Asphalt shingles - 5 courses at a time. Training Video

• Flash any front walls. Training Video

• Step flash any side walls. Training Video

• Install the valley shingles and pipe boots. Training Video

• Install the roof cap and cap shingles. Training Video

Metal Roofing

• Prep the roof (remove any debris and replace any roof sheathing)

• Frame out the 2x4 strips and 2x6 sub-fascia

• Prep and install the drip edge.

• Install the vapor barrier - if necessary.

• Prep and install the fascia

• Prep and install the gable trim

• Prep and install the ridge venting and ridge cap with 2.5” screws.

• Install the boots and openings.

• Clean up all the debris.

Soffit & Fascia

• Using a carpenter square, mark a line on the side of the house.

• Install 2x4 as backer for your J-channel above the line.

• Install the J-channel or the F-channel

• Set up the soffit jig.

• Cut and install the soffit.

• Cut and install the fascia.
