Product Development

Purpose: To create world-class products to help people flourish. A product lifecycle is: 1) Discovery 2) Minimum Viable Product (MVP), 3) Growth, 4) Maturity, 5) Decline and 6) Retirement.

Backlog Definition & Prioritization (Product Manager)

  • Create the roadmap. Using the template, outline the roadmap into EPIC’s and USER STORIES.

  • Create a new product. In Tiaga, create a new product. Add the team members and their roles, permissions and integration.

  • Add the EPIC’s.

  • Create the USER STORIES. Under each EPIC, create the USER STORIES. Format it “As a user, I want _ so that _” Add any acceptance criteria and edge cases. Add any necessary attachments (collaborate in Figma at this point).

  • Prioritize the backlog. Prioritize and prune the USER STORIES in backlog, based on urgency, business value and impact.

  • Schedule the work. Estimate the amount of work for each USER STORY based on time and resources.

UI Design and Prototyping (Product Designer)

  • UI Design and Prototype

Implementation (Developers)

  • Implement the features. Implement the features based on the set standards (code, language, structure)

  • Deploy to environment (AWS). Environments include Development, Staging, Production

Testing (QA Engineers)

  • Test case writing

  • Testing

    • Functional Testing - Testing new features

    • Regression Testing - Testing new features against previous features

    • Performance Testing - Core performance testing (speed, buttons are active, fast page response)

  • Document issues (Tiaga) - notifications?

User Acceptance Testing (UAT) (Product Manager)

  • Validation with selected users (Sprint Demonstrations, Client Demonstrations)

  • Gather feedback and update backlog

  • Confirm readiness

Release and Deployment (Developers)

  • Deploy to production (automatic)

  • Monitor system performance

Feedback and Iteration

  • Collect user (feedback forms, surveys, support tickets)

  • Analyze performance metrics

  • Feed the insights into backlog
